4-wheel main fleet

Series 21-151

Tramcar 86The majority of the early electric trams were of a type with three windows at each side. During the years 1906-1908 a total of 131 tramcars of this type were acquired. Several suppliers were involved and also type and power of the motors did vary with the several sub-series.

Most were replaced by more modern tram-cars in the first half of the thirties, but the 127-151 were reconstructed with cross-bench seating, stronger motors and pantographs instead of the original bow collectors. Except for the 127 and 150 they became trailers (series 1128-1149, 1151) around 1939 and were scrapped about 10 years later.

Two tram-cars of this type survive as museum tramcar. The 119 with the post 1915 painting schedule, the 86 with the original painting schedule. However the electric front-lightning and the type of platform-windows are 1920 and 1926 features.
